Sand in the City was all about creativity, fun and play. With two ‘hands-in’ augmented reality sandboxes, a giant two metre high sandcastle, and models of some of the coastline’s much-loved landmarks created by a LEGO® certified builder kids were entertained for hours.

Sand in the City was originally created by Sydney Living Museum but we completely recreated for south-eastern Australia’s Victorian coast.

Sand in the City was a celebration of the beaches of Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast.  One of the great parts of living in Geelong, is the vicinity to some of the world’s best beaches.

This exhibition put that beautiful coastline on show for the whole family.
